v24.6.2: Hotfixing spree
Last night I made an oopsie with the randomizer after adding infinite battles. It was brought to my attention when I was already in bed, so I came back this morning before I had my coffee and fixed the issue. Unfortunately, fixing the randomizer so that you can seed runs properly, had a side effect of breaking the entire game loop after the first battle.
I took the rest of the day so far to fix this issue and also refactor some other things I've been postponing, before the game gets too big to fix fundamental flaws.
This devlog covers both the early morning version and what's now live.
New features
- Information is key: Status conditions are now displayed in the UI (for now, as plain text!)
- Body count: there is now a kill counter at the corner of the screen so this playtest can feel somewhat like a real game

I spent the day at home and decided to start laying out the UI for the tracker. There's not a lot of useful info to show at the moment, but we can start to get a feel for how it's going to be.
- Tracker now displays your stats (later you'll be able to see their growth and make better decisions based on that)
- Moves now stay on screen throughout the battle
- Moves now show their base power, accuracy, category and element
Bugs squashed

- Seeding the game from the main screen works again!
- Fixed an issue where seeds would not affect the species of the creatures encountered
- Fixed an issue making each seed only have between 3 and 4 creatures instead of all of them

- Fixed an issue introduced last patch where battles would not end, preventing players from returning to the start menu or continuing their runs
Other bugfixes
- Start menu no longer displays window resizer that does nothing in the web version
- Window resizing/fullscreen options are now preserved when returning to the start menu
- Fixed a lot of issues with battle log message timing
